Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath to Reunite For One Final Show

The original Black Sabbath – Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward – will reunite for one final performance together. The foursome will play for the first time in 20 years when they headline Back to the Beginning, a star-studded, one-day event on July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham, U.K.

The all-star event will celebrate the heavy metal titans with Osbourne playing his own short set before joining with Sabbath for his final bow.

“It’s my time to go Back to the Beginning… time for me to give back to the place where I was born,” Osbourne said in the February 5 announcement. “How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever.”

Back to the Beginning will also feature sets from Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, Anthrax and Mastodon. More names will be announced shortly. Various pre-sales begin on February 11 and 12. Tickets for the general public go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on February 14 here.

Music Director Tom Morello said: “This will be the greatest heavy metal show ever.”

The all-day event will also feature a supergroup of musicians.
